4D HYPEʼs Policy on Sexual Exploitation of Adults

The internet has made it easier for people who want to exploit sex workers or coerce
others into sex work. According to the International Labour Organization, an estimated
6.3 million people are currently facing forced commercial sexual exploitation, with nearly
four out of five victims being women or girls.

4D HYPE does not allow any Contributions that involve the sexual exploitation of
adults.

We ban Contributions that:

  • Recruit, force, cause, or encourage someone into sex work for personal gain or for
    the benefit of others
  • Control a person involved in sex work for personal gain or for the benefit of others

(Note: We also prohibit any attempts to organise, assist, plot, encourage, or help others in
carrying out these actions.)

🙅 Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking

Some individuals involved in sex work may also be victims of trafficking or coercive
control. Because of this overlap, we may review Contributions under related policies too,
such as:

We may cross-reference these policies when investigating reports to make sure we have
a complete view of the situation.
