4D HYPE does not allow any Contributions that encourage, assist, or plot to commit acts
of animal cruelty.
We ban Contributions that:
- Show, describe, or discuss cruelty to animals in a way that encourages, assists, or
plans for acts of animal cruelty - Arrange or share ideas for activities that involve cruelty or the unnecessary
suffering of animals - Advertise animal cruelty, or advertise animals for sale where cruelty is involved
- Describe or show real — or what appears to be real — torture, serious injury, or
the deliberate killing of humans or animals - Depict cruelty that is so serious it would be considered obscene
(Note: We also prohibit Contributions that attempt, assist, encourage, plot, or organise
these activities.)

Animal cruelty can be linked to other serious offences. For example:
- Depictions of sexual abuse of animals (bestiality) fall under extreme pornography
- Patterns of child abuse can sometimes escalate to involving animals
Because of this overlap, we may also review Contributions under related policies, such as:
This allows us to fully assess whether a Contribution violates our rules.
🚫 Examples of Prohibited Contributions
Here are some examples of Contributions that are not allowed:
- Promoting or organising hare coursing competitions (illegal hunting of hares)
- Showing physical or psychological torture of animals
- Fake rescue videos, where cruelty is staged to produce a dramatic “rescueˮ scene
- Showing bestiality or sexual abuse of animals
- Videos or photos of animals being crushed or eaten, or of animal fighting events
- Depictions of real or realistic serious violence against animals (even in fictional
content) - Gratuitously showing wounded or dead animals
- Showing animals kept in unsuitable conditions (especially wildlife kept as pets)
- Forcing animals to behave unnaturally (e.g., making them dress like humans, walk
on hind legs, or perform "cute" behaviours when they show signs of fear or
distress — such as monkeys "grinning" or slow lorises "laughing")
🚨 How to Report a Violation of These Terms 🚨
If you see any Contributions that break these rules, you can report them in the following
ways:

- Click ‘Make Reportʼ on the post
- Select ‘This is abusive or harassingʼ
If you DO NOT have a 4D Hype account:
- Go to the ‘Report Content Policy Violationʼ page
- Choose ‘Report Content Policy Violationʼ from the drop-down menu
- Under the ‘Policy Violationʼ select the appropriate category (to be finalised)
- Provide as much detail as possible, including links to the violating content.
